Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Maritza M. Ogarro's choreography fuses different styles of urban contemporary movement. Ogarro's piece, Twilight: codes of the street, explores the language, movement, gesture and experiences of “street life” in South Central Los Angeles and the effects it has on the individuals that take part in it.
In Endurance in Durance, Carolina del Hierro addresses confinement as a condition within the body and space, where the sensation of being trapped inside the self as well as within the surroundings can be chosen or the result of social manipulation.
Marcelo Rueda is a contemporary Colombian artist whose work finds motivation in placing the corporeal experience on the center of storytelling in order to make dances that land inside our daily quotidian and reveal it as a realm of the body. In Can’t Be Seen, he creates new spaces within the performance space and presents the body as a vessel for all of our learning experiences.
Humans exploring collaboration, coops, hybrid art, dance, embodiment, cognition, tech-science, networks, post-humanism and culture.
WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE
This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.
We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary community interacting and embedded unstablelandscape.
This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
