Loose Ends
One woman, one life. Stories interweave. Time is passing. Coming to terms, or not? Forgiveness and gratitude, or not?
The material in this piece was developed by Isobel Roth guided by Thomas Richards, Cecile Berthe and Mario Biagini in workshops of The Workcenter of Jerzy Grotowski and Thomas Richards. The current production is directed by Polina Klimovitskaya.

TELE-VISION: on spiritual displacement
A mystical romance, a ballet about human faced with the unknown and the awe, the fear and the mystical longing for union with that which is beyond understanding, be it death, exotic far off places, chance, or an intergalactic being. Do spaces haunt people or do people haunt spaces? Fruit! Crowds going mad! A ghost! And much more! Stay tuned!
Kat Brown
(de)Composition
Applying it to the Pablo Neruda line “I want to do to you what spring does to the Cherry tree,” lines and layers repeat till words become raw sound and movement loses its structure. From this shambled space does raw sound becomes a song and movement manifests as a dance.
Decay and dissolution: from chaos the true composition is allowed to emerge.
About the Artists
Kat Brown is a movement artist and writer based in New York. Informed by Jungian Authentic Movement and somatic practices her work approaches movement as a means to understand and embody symbolic language. Through long duration performance she also takes up the relationship between time and the body, this work is rooted in the idea that if time is a truth, it's a truth of the body.
Polina Klimovitskaya, the founder and artistic director of Terra Incognita Theater, is an international master teacher and director who began her career in Moscow. Currently she teaches at Hunter College and Michael Howard Studio in New York and conducts annual workshops in Paris and Lisbon.
Isobel Roth is a member of Terra Incognita and has performed with them in the past three Soak Festivals. She is a member of the NYC Seed Group and has studied at the Workcenter of Jerzy Grotowski and Thomas Richards in Italy.
Hannah Gross, Timothy Scott and Nicolas Noreña started collaborating a year ago through the CAVE/LEIMAY residency program. They have presented FOUR FOURS at MoMA and are proud to share TELE-VISION: on spiritual displacement at SOAK.
About the festival
SOAK is a festival presenting a stream of AcTS and training in theater, butoh, dance, music, and performance art every summer-spring season. SOAK is molded by LEIMAY, the interdisciplinary ensemble and producing organization behind the acclaimed New York Butoh Festival. SOAK takes place at LEIMAY’s home, CAVE, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
SOAK broadens the perceptions of our artists and audiences with work that is experimental, rigorous, and thought-provoking. The festival showcases finished and in-progress work by international, local, and fellow artists, and blends them together in a concoction that inspires audiences, fuels the artists, and stimulates the community surrounding LEIMAY’s activities.

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE
This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.
We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary community interacting and embedded unstablelandscape.
This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
