Videodance, Screendance, Dance for the Camera, Cinedance... These terms have been used interchangeably when referring to things that emerge at the crossroads of dance and media. Is this an emerging art form? If so, what are the hallmarks of the form? What makes one thing a cinedance, another a documentary, another cultural anthropology, and another a form of experimental media which we have yet to name?
Join us for this provocative talk and screening in which guest curator, Victoria Murphy proposes a way to define and think about what cinedance is and is not.

Featuring the work of: Matt Tarr and Ami Ipapo; Douglas Rosenberg and Allen Kaeja; and Victoria Murphy; among others.

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE
This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.
We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary community interacting and embedded unstablelandscape.
This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
