Susan Tenney presents Je me souviens…I remember… on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 7:30pm at Florence Gould Hall, 55 East 59th Street (between Park and Madison), New York, NY 10021. The performance will be followed by a VIP cocktail reception. Tickets are $25-75 and are available at www.ticketmaster.com or by phone at 800-745-3000.
Set to music by film score composer George Delerue, Je me souviens...I remember... takes the audience on a journey to the worlds of memory, childhood, family, love remembered, loss, and farewells. With a multi-generational cast of nine members ranging from 9-67 years of age, Je me souviens…I remember… incorporates modern and classical dance styles with the pedestrian and theatrical. This evening presents part three of the piece in its entirety, as well as selections from parts one and two. Excerpts from Pascale Cuenot’s new documentary film In the Tracks of Georges Delerue will also be shown as part of the evening’s presentation.
Georges Delerue is a French film score composer who collaborated with François Truffaut, Phillippe De Broca, Jean Luc Godard, Alain Resnais, among others. In Hollywood, he worked with directors that included Oliver Stone, and Mike Nichols. He was nominated 5 times for an Academy Award, winning the Oscar in 1979 for the Best Film Score for A Little Romance. During his 42 year career, he scored over 200 feature movies, 125 short films, 70 television films and 35 television serials.
Susan Tenney has forged a unique fusion of interdisciplinary work combining dance, theater, and spoken text. Her repertoire, in addition, contains a great many pure dance pieces ranging from lyric to the elegiac, from pop culture to the austerely classic. Her works have been produced by Williamstown Theatre Festival, Edinburgh International Theatre Festival, Princeton Ballet Summer Intensive, Princeton University, Tanglewood, and in New York as Susan Tenney & Company. She has worked in Off-Broadway, regional theaters and created work for several Broadway benefits and Cabarets. She has had five works commissioned by the Coalition for Peace Action to create Commemorative works and was also commissioned by the Princeton Arts Council to create The Tower, an original multidisciplinary work spoken in five languages that marked the millennium. She teaches and coaches privately, and is on faculty at Princeton Ballet School. She holds a B.F.A. in Dance from SUNY Purchase and danced with Jean Erdman, Muna Tseng, Novantiqua, Andrew de Groat & dancers, and the Nat Horne Musical Theater Co. She is a member of Society for Stage Directors and Choreographers.

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE
This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.
We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary community interacting and embedded unstablelandscape.
This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
