DIY9: 2012 - Call for Participants
Professional development projects BY artists FOR artists
DIY 9 is an opportunity for artists working in Live Art to take part in unusual training and professional development projects conceived and run by artists for artists.
Fourteen projects will take place between August and October 2012, which will be led by: Neil Bartlett, Dickie Beau, sean burn and Mike Layward, Eloise Fornieles, Oriana Fox, Nicole Garneau, Richard Layzell, Stacy Makishi, Michael Mayhew, Nigel Barrett and Louise Mari, Steve Ounanian, Andy Whall, Adam Young and Zierle & Carter.
DIY 9 projects are aimed at both emergent and experienced practitioners, and take place throughout the UK. The DIY 9 programmes take many forms, with a variety of themes this year including fabulation, spirituality, anarchist bomb plots, the ethics of oil sponsorship, citizen robots, and even mountain climbing.
Participation in a DIY project is free of charge. Some projects may necessitate a financial contribution from participants to cover some expenses.
Applications are now welcomed for all the DIY projects.
Application deadline for most projects: Monday 9 July, 2012

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE
This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.
We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary community interacting and embedded unstablelandscape.
This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
