Event Description

DEEP>ARTURES
""choreographed movement that choreographs the sound, the music, the projected image and the light ambient""

The experimental work DEEP>ARTURES is a journey through the senses that the body perceives and shows through its motion relating to the universe of farewell:
A ride that explores the course between the before and after and that shows the continuity of the cyclical human journey.
The projected images and sound are produced by motion capture with support of gestural interfaces and video&depth cameras, and are generated in real time, interacting with the dance.
The movement produces art forms, colors, irradiating lights that are projected on the back, on the stage floor, or even on top of the performers, totally or partly replacing traditional stage lighting.
The result is a mix of dance, music and motion pictures produced live in a new audio-visual experience.

About the project:
The thrust of this interdisciplinary production, arises primarily from a research recently developed at the State University of Campinas, Brazil, in an attempt to explore various possibilities where artistic language could be combined synergistically live with the aid of various interactive tools.
Thus, the experimental work DEEP>ARTURES started in Brazil by Teresa Ranieri and Bruno Perosa with interactive soundscapes inserts by Jonathan Manzolli and performance of the dancers Gabriel Tolgyesi and Daniela Morais, continues its evolutionary path in cooperation with the "Oficinas do Convento" in Montemor-o-Novo, Portugal.
The intent of this second phase of work is to consolidate the contents dramaturgical already explored during the first phase of the research, find the most appropriate visual language requirements for such choreographic proposals and finalize the residency with the presentation of an interactive performance in Montemor-O-Novo Teatro Curvo Semedo on the 13 & 14 March, Lisbon Teatro Meridional on the 16,17 &18 March and in Spain, La Nave del Duende on the 21 and 22 March.

This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.

We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary  community interacting and embedded  unstablelandscape.
