TAKWEEN-BCDS is an intensive dance-training program for young artists who are serious about pursuing professional careers in contemporary dance. This full-time intensive training program is offered over a period of three months at Maqamat Dance Studio in Beirut, Lebanon. Designed to produce highly skilled, creative and intellectually curious dance artists, TAKWEEN-BCDS encourages students to take ownership of their training and the direction of their careers. The annual, three-month program consists of full-time physical dance training with professional teachers and choreographers alongside courses in both choreographic composition and conceptual thinking.

Workshop led by Marlon Barrios Solano:
Inter-actors, atractors and the aesthetics of complexity
An embodied perspective collaborative workshop interfacing movement art practices, digital arts, computational networks and social systems.
This workshop is a collaborative lab to creatively explore the contemporary approaches, practices and aesthetics of self organization and of complex systems within the dynamic couplings of mind, body and information/data flows.
This workshop is an open space for experimentation and inquiry within a well defined theoretical frame and open space format: the participants self-organize in different node projects (collaborative and flexible groups) in order to investigate and deploy bottom-up architectures as compositional/creative prototyping strategies and precesses.
An embodied cognition is used to generate physical activities and games, guided discussions/conversations about relevant artists works and concepts exploring the aesthetic of complex systems and emergence.
Participation of Marlon Barrios Solano is funded, in part, by The Suitcase Fund of New York Live Arts as part of the Africa and Middle East Cultural Partnerships Program, with support from the Robert Sterling Clark Foundation.

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE
This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.
We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary community interacting and embedded unstablelandscape.
This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
