An intensive workshop for choreographers and interdisciplinary performance makers interested in making movement-based work that integrates projected imagery with particular focus on the software Isadora. We will explore the integration of still and moving images with performance using both old tech (projectors/OHPs/lights) and new tech (digital video/image capture and projection). The workshop will be studio based whilst also using London Metropolitan University's well equipped digilab where performance technologies designer Ian Willcock will give a hands on seminar exploring the multiple possibilities of Isadora. Informed by new scientific insights we will consider the impact of technological possibilities in the shaping of new performance through experimenting, making and presenting digital performance.
Jane Turner is a choreographer who makes dance theatre work which is informed by interactive possibilities between art, science and new technologies.
Dates Friday and Saturday September 19th and 20th (2 sessions)
Times 10:00am - 4:00pm

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE
This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.
We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary community interacting and embedded unstablelandscape.
This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
