amber'08 body-process arts festival, the second installment of the largest arts and new media event in Turkey, is well on its way.

This year's festival theme is "interpassive persona" and the objective is to approach today's digitalizing culture from a critical-artistic viewpoint through a multi-event platform that will include stage performances, interactive installations, workshops, artist presentations and seminars.

Two separate calls for works for amber'08 has just been issued. One is for an interactive installation exhibit and the other is for an interactive games section.

The call for interactive installations will aim for works that explore the festival theme. The works selected from among the submissions will be exhibited in amber’08.

The second call concerns a special section of amber’08 on interactive games.
This section will be implemented in cooperation with M2F CREATIONS, France. and will feature new games that operate on new interaction concepts that are not based on the mouse or keyboard. The player will literally participate and interact in the game by using his voice, body and movement in a variety of innovative ways. The works selected from among the submissions will be exhibited in the game section of amber’08.

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE

This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.

We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary  community interacting and embedded  unstablelandscape.

This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
