Dance Camera West, recognized internationally for its annual Dance Media Film Festival will celebrate its 10th Anniversary in June 2011 with Dance Media: An Active Spectrum, a festival and conference bringing together artists, innovators, educators and the entertainment industry to discuss the increasingly active spectrum of dance media on screen.
The 10th Anniversary is concentrated in the Westwood area to accommodate out of town guests unlike previous festivals that covered the breadth of Los Angeles. Programs and screenings will take place at The Getty Center, UCLA Department of World Arts and Cultures/Dance, UCLA Fowler Museum, and Hammer Museum.
All festival events will be within walking distance, or in the case of opening night at The Getty Center, Dance Camera West will arrange transportation from the festival's designated hotel. The one day conference, Dance Media: An Active Spectrum, will take place at the UCLA Department of World Arts and Cultures/Dance and UCLA Fowler Museum.
Accommodations and Travel:
We are arranging a special rate with a Westwood area hotel for our out-of-town conference attendees. This information will be available soon. Please check back for updated information.

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE
This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.
We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary community interacting and embedded unstablelandscape.
This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
