Seu objetivo é promover o debate sobre dança contemporânea, suas práticas e problemas, além de incentivar artistas a trabalharem juntos. No Rio de Janeiro, os artistas bolsistas foram selecionados através de convocatória pública; em Teresina, foi contemplado o coletivo artístico Núcleo do Dirceu. Foram 15 artistas bolsistas em cada cidade do grupo do Rio de Janeiro participaram duas artistas da América Central e uma de Manaus. Life [in progress] cria situações em que memória e visão interagem tornando-se indistinguíveis. Será o passado só uma parte da memória ou é também uma questão da nossa condição cultural e política? Quão visionária é nossa visão? Será ela determinada pela morte ou pelo medo da morte? Life [in progress] situa-se entre a performance e a exposição. É composta de texto, fotos e instruções de vídeo. Os espectadores também são os atores. À medida que respondem às instruções, criam a performance de acordo com o ritmo, a sensibilidade, a crença e a inatividade de cada um. A intervenção dos espectATORES deixa para trás uma demonstração de vida que transforma a performance em instalação. O projeto explora a diferença básica entre a performance e as artes visuais.
